JOAN CHARNLEY ARCHIVE JOINS mmu SPECIAL COLLECTIONS MUSEUM

We’re delighted to announce the Joan Charnley Archive has now become part of Manchester Metropolitan University’s Special Collections Museum, a resource of national significance for the study of twentieth century design, book illustration, art and textile design. Joan’s comprehensive archive, which includes hundreds of mid-century textile designs, sketch books, diaries and photographs, will now become part of the museum’s prestigious public collection.
